As of 2010, maintenance on the firehouse has been deferred for years. There is termite damage to the staircase, there are holes in the ceiling, and water collects on the floor of the garage due to lack of a drain. The firemen of station 19 are currently collecting contributions for a $500,000 restoration and renovation project via the station's website as well as with T-shirt and souvenir sales, and at open houses.
